The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild Meets Twilight Princess in Stunning Fan Art

It’s been two years since the launch of Nintendo Switch, and what better way to celebrate then tribute to (arguably) the console’s best game? And that is exactly what fans are doing, sharing some pretty amazing Disney-like art of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild crossed with Twilight Princess.

Resurfaced earlier today on The Legend of Zelda‘s official subreddit, someone shared some art from Oslo-based artist Malin Fatch:

The image merges both Heroes of Time from both Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess as they lounge on a boulder. The artstyle is definitely a deviation from the more light aesthetic of BotW and darker elements of Twilight Princess. Instead, I’m catching closer vibes to modern Disney, while still distinct on its own.

And I suppose that should be a surprise — Falch has covered a ton of other styles on her DeviantArt, including plays on Big Hero 6 and How to Train Your DragonAccording to her Instagram page, she was inspired to draw this ahead of even playing the game given how stunning the initial trailer was. In fact, she created some more art out the gate around The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild:

With the latest reveal of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening remaster for Nintendo Switch, we have definitely seen an influx of cool fan projects. Whether this includes an awesome Wind Waker automaton or a $2,400 Hyrule-themed wedding gown, there is no doubt we will see more fun fan things pop up as we near that game’s release.

If you haven’t picked the game up yet (and most have), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available on the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. You can grab that game via Amazon if you are so inclined. Meanwhile, go check out some of Malin Falch’s other work including her comic series Nordlys, which you can keep track of via her Instagram.

Relive The Legend of Zelda Concert 2018 with Limited Edition CD Set

Not sure what to get for Valentine’s Day yet with that special someone? Maybe you can get them some chocolates and…The Legend of Zelda music. That’s right, you can enjoy the recent Legend of Zelda concert from Japan right in the comfort of your own home with a new limited edition CD box set.

The bundle comes with a 2-disk set of the concert on CD, a Blu-Ray of the concert with matching game footage, an acrylic keychain set, and a commemorative card, all in a hard shell box. The cover art is also something beautiful, featuring Breath of the Wild and Ocarina of Time Links as well as Skyward Sword Zelda in the back. The art style, however, resembles more of the direction Breath of the Wild went for with heavy shadows and rough edges.

The concert that took place in December in Tokyo was conducted by Taizo Takemoto and performed by Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. The music choice primarily focused on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but still featured songs from previous titles. And of course, the concert features music that features ocarinas, harps, and accordions. So it seems like this CD should have something for pretty much all Zelda fans.

So whether you’re planning on picking this up with someone special or just want to blast some orchestration of The Legend of Zelda, this is a must buy. Unfortunately, this item is still in pre-order so you’ll have to wait until March before you can enjoy this bundle. On the bright side, the bundle will only set you back $65, which is a pretty sweet deal thinking how much Japanese imported game items typically cost (not to mention Nintendo). I’d recommend pre-ordering on Amazon sooner rather than later because quantities could run out before you know it.

In other Legend of Zelda news, a boutique from Los Angeles is selling a Zelda-themed wedding dress. The gown features, of course, the tri-force symbol and a blue gem that signifies Zelda‘s jewel choice in every game. The only downside to the gown, however, is the steep price of $2,400.
