Jump Force Showcases Latest DLC Fighter Bakugo in an Explosive New Trailer

Jump Force has been showcasing more of its DLC fighters in screenshots and trailers as of late. And thanks to Anime Expo, a new trailer for Katsuki Bakugo from My Hero Academia has been revealed. Through it, we get to see his full explosive might as his uses his powerful Quirk to take down his enemies:

The trailer opens up with him wailing on his opponent — which of course happens to be his long-time rival Deku — using his explosion-based Quirk to set up what must be some pretty damaging combos. He finishes up with a Super Attack, which looks agonizing to be on the receiving end of.

Also is it just me or does Bakugo seem to have better facial and character animation than 90 percent of the roster? Maybe some of the animators are huge fans of the character and wanted to do him justice. Or, considering how expressive he is in both the manga and anime they realized they needed to put even more effort into his animations. Regardless, he looks great and I’m sure fans will be happy to get their hands on the young spitfire.

There’s also plenty of screenshots of Bakugo released beforehand, showing off a bit more of his combat prowless. He was previously revealed, along with several other DLC characters, as the final lineup of fighters joining Jump Force. All Might, also from the same IP, was the second DLC character to join in on the massive crossover.

You can purchase the game for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Be sure to check out our DualShockers review of the game here if you’re still on the fence and want an honest opinion of Jump Force.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows Reveals 4 Characters in New Trailer

Bandai Namco Entertainment Amercia’s Play Anime! panel and Anime Expo was filled with announcements this year. When it comes to new games, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 was revealed and Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 was confirmed to be coming west. During that panel, a brand new trailer revealing four new characters for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows was shown off as well.

The trailer reveals that four notable antagonists are coming to the game: Carnage Kabuto, Deep Sea King, Vaccine Man, and Mosquito Girl. For the characters in that lineup that were not featured as much in the manga or anime, their inclusion in this game should be welcome as they will likely be more fleshed out than ever before and will have full movesets for this 3D fighter.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows was revealed in late June, and at that time we learned that Saitama, Genos, Hellish Blizzard, Speed-o’-Sound Sonic, and Mumen Rider would all be in the game. The game’s roster is now nine characters deep, and DualShockers will be sure to let you know as more characters are revealed in the future.

You can check out the new trailer featuring Deep Sea King, Vaccine Man, Mosquito Girl, and Carnage Kabuto for yourself below. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows still does not have a release date. That being said, we do know that it is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One and that it can be pre-ordered right now on Amazon.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is the Latest 3v3 Fighter from Bandai Namco

Outside of major titles like Elden Ring or Tales of Arise, Bandai Namco Entertainment also publishes a plethora of 3D fighters based on various manga properties. The most recent examples of this formula are My Hero: One’s Justice, which came out in 2018, and Jump Force, which came out in February. Today, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the next PC, PS4, and Xbox One game of this style – One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. Check out its reveal trailer below:

As it follows the same formula as Bandai Namco’s other fighters, players won’t simply be punching everything as Saitama in this game. Instead, it is a 3v3 fighter like this year’s Jump Force where characters like Saitama, Genos, Hellish Blizzard, Speed-o’-Sound Sonic, and Mumen Rider will all be playable and will feature their own fighting styles. According to Associate Brand Manager Abelina Villegas, the game is intended to appeal to both fans and newcomers. While it’s not the style of game I would have liked to see One Punch Man adapted into, other fans of the franchise and those who adore Bandai Namco Entertainment’s 3v3 fighters such as Jump Force will probably be pleased.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows doesn’t have a release date, but we do know it is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It is also worth noting that the PC release will be digital only.

Jump Force’s First Batch of DLC Characters are Now Available

Bandai Namco announced today that the first set of DLC for the Shonen Anime fighter Jump Force. The set includes three different fighters; Biscuit, Seto Kaiba, and All Might.

Biscuit is a character from Hunter x Hunter. Her abilities include immense strength and speed among other things. Seto Kaiba is from Yu-Gi-Oh, where he is the rival of the main protagonist Yugi Moto. Kaiba uses his iconic Blue Eyes White Dragons as well as the Egyptian God card Obelisk, the Tormentor. All Might is the mascot of the current phenomenon My Hero Academia and is the mentor of the main protagonist Deku (Midoriya) and passes down his power of All for One to him.

This is the first set of characters to come out for Jump Force and the plan is to have six more characters to be added to the game which have all been announced after a leak. According to the roadmap of the game that Bandai Namco released it looks as though each batch of DLC characters will be released in groups of three. If the road map ends up staying true to itself we can expect the second batch of DLC characters sometime in August.

A trailer featuring these three DLC characters was released today, which you can see below. You can purchase the Jump Force character pass for $29.99 giving you access to all nine DLC characters. There is also an option to purchase each character one by one for $3.99 each in case there are certain characters that do not interest you. Jump Force is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and can be picked up on Amazon.

Jump Force’s Seven Remaining DLC Characters Have Leaked

Bandai Namco revealed in the next issue of Weekly Shonen Jump the remaining Jump Force DLC characters part of the game’s season pass. However, the magazine has leaked early as always.

Here’s the list of the seven characters upcoming in Jump Force:

  • Biscuit Krueger from Hunter x Hunter
  • Toshiro Hitsugaya from Bleach
  • Majin Buu Innocent from Dragon Ball Z
  • Katsuki Bakugou from My Hero Academia
  • Trafalgar Law from One Piece
  • Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez from Bleach
  • Madara Uchiha from Naruto

Personally speaking, I think it’s surprising that only one female character, Biscuit Krueger, is getting added. I’m also quite surprised that Sakuragi from Slam Dunk, or any other sports manga from Jump in general, like Haikyu!!, isn’t getting added in the end. Well, it’s not like these new DLC characters will save the mess that Jump Force is anyway. Perhaps a sequel will be coming one day and give justice to the various series included. For now, you’d be better off playing J-Stars Victory VSJump Ultimate Stars or any previous crossover of the kind.

Previously revealed DLC characters are Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh! and All Might from My Hero Academia. I have to admit their 3D models look relatively better than most characters in the game, so maybe the other seven DLC characters will be getting the same treatment. Bandai Namco should reveal new trailers for each of the seven remaining DLC characters in the near future. Weekly Shonen Jump will include screenshots as well, so we’ll be able to see them in the next few hours.

Jump Force is available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

DLC Character Seto Kaiba Gets the Spotlight in New Jump Force Trailer

Earlier this month, we found out that Seto Kaiba of Yu-Gi-Oh! fame would be making his way to Jump Force as a part of the game’s first DLC drop, but beyond some screenshots, we didn’t really have a good look a the character in action. Now, that’s all changed as Bandai Namco has released a brand new trailer and centered entirely around Yugi Muto’s greatest rival.

The trailer itself is pretty short, only clocking in at around 20 seconds, however, it does give players a good look at some of Kaiba’s attacks, including one that looks like it’s based off the card Deck Destruction Virus, as well his summons, lines, and more. We even get a quick look at Obelisk the Tormentor in action, which I must say, is incredibly badass. Of course, you can check out the trailer for yourself at the end of the article. Unfortunately, the trailer isn’t dubbed in Japanese (this part shouldn’t come as a surprise since the game itself only features a Japanese track) but it also doesn’t feature English subtitles, so if that’s not your thing then you’re out of luck.

Seto Kaiba is set to be released for season pass owners sometime this May. As of the time of this writing, an exact release date has not yet been announced.

Jump Force is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. DualShocker’s own Jordon Boyd reviewed the game and ultimately thought it was a disappointment. If you want to pick up the game on Amazon, you can do so by clicking here.

Seto Kaiba Unleashes Blue-Eyes White Dragon in New Jump Force Screenshots

Earlier this week Bandai Namco announced a ton of upcoming content for their crossover fighting title Jump Force alongside screenshots of the game’s first DLC character, Seto Kaiba. Now, we’ve gotten even more screenshots of Kaiba that you can check out below. Thankfully, it looks like he brought along his iconic Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Obelisk the Tormenter to fight.

Seto Kaiba comes from the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime and manga series. Kaiba acts as Yugi Moto’s rival throughout the series and even duels alongside him at a few points. He’ll launch alongside two other unannounced DLC characters in May.

In August, three more characters will be added into the game. All of the new characters will be paid DLC, but players can still expect plenty of free content in the form of avatar items and stages. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest DLC as it’s revealed. If the next five characters are as awesome as Seto Kaiba, Jump Force’s lineup of DLC fighters will certainly be really awesome.

If you’re interested in picking up Jump Force, you can check out my review of the game. While it still has a ways to go before it’s truly something great, I’m happy to see the game getting support over the coming months. I just hope that some of the title’s more glaring issues are buffed out over the next couple of content drops and updates, like the pretty poor cutscenes.

Jump Force is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Seto Kaiba Is Jump Force’s First DLC Character

Today, Bandai Namco revealed that Seto Kaiba of the Yu-Gi-Oh! series will be making his way into Jump Force as the game’s first DLC character. Kaiba will be making his way into the game alongside two other unannounced characters in May.  Additionally, Bandai Namco has also given fans their first look at the content roadmap through August. You can check it out for yourself below.

Seto Kaiba made his first appearance in the first episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! and acted as Yugi Moto’s rival throughout a large portion of the series. I’d say that Yugi’s character was a highlight for me in Jump Force as he used his classic Dark Magician card to attack opponents, with special appearances from Dark Magician Girl and Slifer the Sky Dragon as well. I personally can’t wait to see Kaiba inevitably use the Blue-Eyes White Dragon and maybe, just maybe, Obelisk the Tormenter.

If you’ve been on the fence about picking up Jump Force, why not give our official review a read? While the game certainly has some issues it needs to buff out, hopefully, the development team will be able to fix up some of the problems players and reviewers had with the game. It’s always nice to see a developer putting some support behind a title in the form of plenty of free content on top of some paid DLC. Maybe in a few months, Jump Force will be a little more worthwhile.

Jump Force is available now on a variety of platforms including PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The modding community has been hard at work on the PC version to bring fighters like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo and Master Chief from Bungie and 343’s Halo series.

Jump Force Patch Will Allow You to Skip Its Terrible Cutscenes

A patch is currently in the works for Jump Force that will improve loading time, allow you to skip its cutscenes, as well as stability and battle bug fixes. This patch should be available across platforms, “in the coming days.”

Unskippable cutscenes can be unbearable, looking at you Kingdom Hearts and the infamous “there’s no way you’re taking Kairi’s heart” cutscene prior to fighting Riku a second time, so its good to hear that option will be coming soon. This is also good because Jump Force‘s cutscenes, and story, are pretty bad. Not only do the character models look really out of place, especially when compared to the fantastic Dragon Ball FighterZ of early last year, but they lack any sense of emotion and are instead rigid faces that happen to have mouths that flap. You can read our full review of Jump Force, which was found to be a mediocre game, for more details about one of today’s big releases.

Jump Force is a 3D fighting game from Bandai Namco whose roster is stretched across the history of Weekly Shonen Jump, a weekly anthology that is one of the longest-running and best-selling manga magazines in Japan. Characters in Jump Force span the gamut of Black Clover, Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Hunter X Hunter, Naruto, One Piece, and Yu Yu Hakusho. Apparently Light Yagami of Death Note does indeed make appearances but isn’t playable? Which is disappointing considering Yami Yugi, whose only skill is at du-du-du-du-du-dueling, can be played.

Jump Force Leaks Dragon Quest and JoJo Characters on Instagram

In any major gaming corporation, there are always instances where the PR divisions and the business divisions aren’t chatting with each other. Sometimes, this works to gamers benefits with unintentional leaks — and it appears that is what we got, with new images of Dragon Quest and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure being debuted in a Jump Force Instagram advertisement. Whoops!

News comes from many Instagram users who are reportedly seeing the same screens. In a push for advertising, publisher Bandai Namco is pushing across one of the world’s largest social media sites. What they didn’t expect was to leak a few unannounced characters, principally Dai from Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai and Jotaro Kujo from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures.

While first rumors of these images seemed to be chucked aside as a bad photoshop, an ad-hoc confirmation started to piece together as more people began seeing the ad:

This also extended to people seeing the advertisement on Facebook:

Taking this with a grain of salt but Yonkou tweeted the full image but this time its on facebook, weird. from r/jumpforce

For anyone who wants to see the total picture, a merged version can be seen below:

For those of you out of the loop of both of these characters, he originates in Doragon Kuesuto: Dai no Daibōken (or Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai) — a 27 volume manga that ran between 1989 and 1996. Meanwhile, Jotaro Kujo is one of the most recurring characters of the JoJo Bizarre Adventure series, taking up the role as a protagonist of the Stardust Crusaders.

In other Jump Force news, we got to see the addition of Boruto, Kaguya, Gaara, and Kakashi in the last couple of days. Before that, we saw the inclusion of special interactions that will be peppered throughout the game, as seen most notably in new Aizen gameplay footage. Oh, and lest we not forget that Bandai Namco and fast food giant Wendy’s (jokingly) confirmed the Wendy’s mascot during National Roast Day.

Jump Force will launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 15, 2019. If you’d like to pre-order the game you can do so right now over at Amazon and grab all of the game’s pre-order bonuses.
