Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 2: Jiren, Videl, Broly, and Gogeta Leaked

The conclusion of the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals are upon us, and with that comes the next season of Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC.

In the leaked announcement trailer, we finally see the long-teased Jiren of Universe 11. His playstyle roughly mimics the anime, with counter hits and armor moves accompanied by powerful hits and blasts. We also see a sneak peek at his super finish, which has Jiren completing a destructive blow on Goku. Jiren wasn’t the only character revealed, however.

In a totally unpredictable change of pace, Videl is also releasing alongside Jiren. Videl’s appearance is straight from the Great Saiyaman saga, short hair and all. Her moves seem to be a mixture of quick moves, rekkas, and assists from none other than the Great Saiyaman. Videl’s portion capped off with a great finish featuring her and Great Saiyaman dealing out a finishing kick to Majin Buu. Videl looks like a lot of fun, and as a Great Saiyaman fan myself, this will definitely be a character worth picking up.

Fans won’t have to wait long for Videl and Jiren however, as the two characters are set to release January 31. That’s right, come Thursday you can add Jiren and Videl into your roster.

The announcements don’t stop there as Broly and Gogeta from the new Dragon Ball Super: Broly film are also announced with the line up of new characters. The trailer, however, didn’t have any in-game renders of these two characters, only showing clips from the movie instead. No word as to when these two come out, however.

No word yet on a price for the next season or any other additional content at the moment due to the leak, so stay on the lookout for further updates after the conclusion of the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Likely to Add Jiren for Season 2 After Shonen Jump Leak

A scan of Shonen Jump appears to confirm rumors that Jiren, from the Tournament of Power arc of Dragon Ball Super, will be the next DLC character for Dragon Ball FighterZ.

The scan came from Twitter user @Spy_0taku and comes hot on the heels of another tweet from Bandai Namco that claimed, “And more news coming to DRAGON BALL Fighter Z! The Warrior from Universe 11 is joining the fight!” Eventhubs has a translation of the image caption that states, “Goku and Jiren clash… !? This is the latest illustration for the highly popular Dragon Ball FighterZ game!! For the full details, tune in to the world championship! Please look forward to it!!”

This comes hot on the heels of Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball Games Super Showcase in which producer Tomoko Hiroki teased the season pass but withheld any real information, pointing towards the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals set to take place from January 26-27, 2019.

It was at this same livestream that Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission was confirmed to be coming to the West for Nintendo Switch and PC on April 5, 2019.

Jiren is perhaps one of the more divisive characters introduced during the latest season of Dragon Ball Super, as someone not even SSGSS Kaio-ken Goku could touch. His inclusion has sparked speculation on whether or not yet another Goku could be added to Dragon Ball FighterZ. Ultra Instinct Goku who was the only solo fighter who could match Jiren during the closing moments of the Tournament of Power. As with any fighter the desires of many different fans appear whenever discussion or rumor of a new character’s addition appears, with everything from Videl to Raditz to SSJ4 being tossed around as possibilities.

Season 1 of Dragon Ball FighterZ included the following DLC characters: Base Goku and Vegeta, SSGSS Vegito, Fused Zamasu, Cooler, Broly, Bardock, and Android 17. The season pass was only $34.99 though you could purchase characters separately for $4.99 each. Whether or not the second season pass will contain eight new characters remains to be seen, though we’ll hopefully find out what to expect as far as content and price after the World Tour Finals for Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Extra Pack 3 Launch Trailer Shows New Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Characters

Extra Pack 3 will launch tomorrow for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Steam and the Nintendo eShop for $9.99. This will include 2 new playable characters: Kefla and Super Baby 2. Kefla is from the Universe Survival Arc in Dragon Ball Super and is a potara fusion of Caulifla and Kale, the saiyans from Universe 6. In addition to the new playable characters Extra Pack 3 also adds 5 new parallel quests, 8 additional skills, 4 costumes (Goku Wig (Ultra Instinct), Janemba Suit, Arabian Costume, and one not shown in the trailer), and 2 super souls. Both Kefla and Super Baby can be seen in action in the trailer below, as can highlights from the additional content and the free updates that have been introduced recently.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 launched on October 26, 2016 and has received multiple free updates including a sexy Towa Swimsuit, 40 figurines, 20 quests, 21 character skills, 20 posing skills, more NPCs to fight, costumes and accessories from across the Dragon Ball fiction and smaller fixes to netcode, skills, and character selection.
